Murals by street artist JDL can be seen in Amsterdam, Tbilisi, New York, Rome, Kuala Lumpur and many other cities around the world. Distinctive for their size but also for the social themes behind the wall. We follow JDL (Judith de Leeuw) for one year during the creation of her work ‘Love is Stronger Than Death’ in the Italian city Taranto. The film shows how this 30-metre high mural was created. While her murals usually deal with social themes and the underprivileged, the wall in Italy transformed into a deeply personal journey for the artist who lost her father during the year of filming.
